All Saints Day was Saturday the 1st but we celebrated together on Sunday. It is an opportunity for us to remember and give thanks for those saints that have gone on before us. It doesn't matter if we knew them personally or not. God knows who they are. They paved the way and set an example for us to follow. Protestants do not pray to saints or believe that they serve as mediator to God. For there is one God; there is also one mediator between God and humankind, Christ Jesus, himself human who gave himself a ransom for all" (1 Timothy 2:5-6a). According to the New Testament a saint is someone who claims Jesus Christ and seeks to emulate Him. In other words, we are all saints. We don't have to be perfect or super doers. We just need to be people that are striving to do our best. Serving others and spreading the good news and loving everyone as Jesus loves us, unconditionally.
I am happy you are here. It is my hope that this will be a place of inspiration for those that love the Lord. Whether you are a new Christian, a lifelong Christian or simply seeking, this is the place for you. We are better in community. All are welcome. Have a great weekend. Love and light, Pastor Robin
